An invitation can look beautiful and still leave a guest with a question. Before sharing your link, give it one careful read as someone who has never heard about the event.

Check the essentials

Read the title, names, date, time and address out loud. Small mistakes are easier to notice when you slow down. If guests are joining from another timezone, confirm that you have selected the event's timezone in the editor.

Read every section

Open the cover, scroll through the details and check that the story and programme belong to this event. Remove sample wording you do not want to use. Check photographs for the right crop and make sure any optional music link works for you.

Decide how guests should reply

If you enable guest replies, check the reply deadline and guest limit. Explain any attendance instructions in plain language. If you do not need replies, turn the form off so guests are not asked to fill in an unnecessary step.

  • Review the spelling of names and venue details.
  • Test the published link in a separate browser tab.
  • Check that the map opens the place you intended.
  • Make sure the reply form matches your arrangements.

Share with the right people

Anyone with a published invitation link can open it. Send the link to the people you intend to invite and avoid including sensitive information in the public invitation. A short personal message alongside the link is often all the introduction it needs.

Keep the details current

If the programme changes, update your invitation and save the change. For important changes, tell your guests directly as well; they may not reopen the link on their own.
